The Chaminade University women's volleyball team lost to 14th ranked Hawaii Pacific University tonight 30-21, 21-30, 30-20, and 30-17, in a non-conference match at St. Andrew's Priory Gymnasium in Honolulu , Hawaii this evening.
In game-one, three players combined for 17 of the teams 19 kills to help the Sea Warriors to the 30-21 win.
Chaminade took advantage of HPU's five service errors to clinch game two 30-21.
It was all HPU in the next two games, dropping the Swords 30-20 in game-three, and 30-17 in game-four. The Sea Warriors out-hit the Silverswords .381 to .255, and out-blocked the Swords 18-to-9 in the final two games.
CU's Kahala Kabalis recorded a team-high 19 kills and 11 digs. Valasi Sepulona added 18 kills, nine digs, and Patti Hardimon added 12 kills.
Chaminade falls to 8-6 overall and 3-1 PacWest play while HPU moves to 13-2 on the season.
