"We were outplayed in every facet of the game tonight," CU head coach Aaron Griess said. "Unfortunately, at this point in time, we're unable to put the pieces together in order to be successful on a given night. Hilo has a nice team and they deserve credit for their play, but I'm very disappointed that we couldn't come out with any kind of urgency at all. In order for us to approach competitive basketball, we need to play as hard as we can every minute we're on the floor and we're not doing that right now. We'll go back to work this week and continue to try to get better in practice."

Chaminade was led by senior Jason Walters with 19 points on 5 of 7 shooting from the field. 6'1" senior guard Bryon Sykes paced the Swords with 7 rebounds.

Chaminade continues PacWest play next Thursday night against BYU-Hawaii. The game will be played at McCabe Gymnasium with a 7:30pm tip-off.
