Honolulu, HI - Patti Hardimon slammed 19 kills as the Chaminade University women's volleyball team swept No. 8 Hawaii Pacific, 31-29, 31-29, 30-26, last night at the Blaisdell Arena. The Sea Warriors were previously unbeaten in PacWest play.
With the sweep, Chaminade improves to 10-3 while the Sea Warriors fall to 11-2 overall. The two teams are now locked in a tie for first place in the Pacific West Conference.
Valasi Sepulona and Kahala Kabalis each added 14 kills, and Kalae Araujo had 20 digs for Chaminade. Nikolina Rastovac added 51 assists and four aces.
Flavia Brakling had 12 kills and 13 digs for HPU. Paula Koikopoulos added 11 kills and Paula Nascimento nine blocks for the Sea Warriors.
The Swords head to Hawaii Hilo this weekend for games on Friday and Saturday night.
