Laie, Hi - BYU-Hawaii swept Chaminade in a non-conference double-header on Wednesday, winning 4-0 and 9-7.
Lisa Hansen pitched a complete game shutout in game one for the Seasiders. She allowed three hits while striking out five. Rachel Delaney went 1-for-4 at the plate with a two RBI single in the fifth inning. Donnell Wittekind took the loss for the Silverswords, allowing nine hits and three earned runs.
Brooke Hilton pitched a complete game for the victory in game two. She allowed seven hits and four earned runs. The Seasiders withstood a five-run seventh inning by the Silverswords to hold on for the two-run win. Delaney was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two run scored. Loihi McKeague gave up ten hits in the loss for Chaminade. McKeague also drove in two RBI. Kehaulani Yamaguchi and Pua Reis were each 2-for-3 with a run scored. Reis also drove in an RBI.
