Yellowjackets Winless at McCabe

Honolulu, HI - The Silverswords got off to a sluggish start tonight after beating MSUB by 32 points on Tuesday night, but came on strong late to rally past the Yellowjackets, 82-78. The Swords improve to 8-12 overall, 5-5 in PacWest play while MSUB falls to 15-9, 6-7.

MSUB took a 42-36 lead into halftime behind the hot hand of Buddy Windyboy who led Billings with 25 points on the night. The Yellowjackets shot 45% from the field in the first half, and connected on 6-12 from behind the arc while the Swords shot 50% but made just 1-9 from deep.

CU bounced back in the second period and shot 57% from the field while holding the Jackets to 29%. Junior Dustin Mittelsteadt led five Swords in double figures with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Jason Walters added 12 points and 6 rebounds while Roy Stigall III and Donald Rogers tallied 11 points apiece. Junior Scott Metcalf chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds.

Chaminade will be looking for their 4th home win in a row against Western New Mexico on Saturday night. The Swords beat the Mustangs twice in Silver City earlier this year 98-65 & 71-62.
