Swords End Vulcans Season Early

Hilo, HI - With an NCAA Tournament berth on the line, Hawaii-Hilo couldn't hold off the Swords who pulled off the 87-85 on Senior Night in Hilo. The Chaminade win also put UHH out of the West Regional playoff race. Chaminade finishes the season tied for second place in the PacWest Conference at 8-7, 11-14 overall.

Chaminade shot 53 percent from the field and 84 percent from the free throw line in a game that had 53 personal fouls. UH-Hilo shot 42 percent from the field and just 63 percent from the charity stripe. Kashif Reyes scored a team-high 20 points and made three 3-pointers. Backcourt mate Roy Stigall III added 18 points and shot 8 of 10 from the field. Nick Frey chipped in ten points and five rebounds in the paint, while Jason Walters scored eight and grabbed a game-high 15 boards.
