Honolulu, Hawaii - The Chaminade University softball team lost both games of a doubleheader to UH-Hilo today, 4-0 and 6-1. The Swords fall to 10-29 on the season with four games remaining.
The first game went 10 innings but the Vulcans stayed in control with a three-hit, nine-strikeout performance on the mound. A bases-loaded error gave the Vulcans a 1-0 lead in the 10th before a base-clearing double gave Hilo the 4-0 advantage.
The Vulcans continued their run production in the second game, posting scores in the first three innings as Tara Martinez took the mound duties and tossed a four-hitter. The Swords loaded the bases in the fourth but managed just one run.
Chaminade hosts UC-Davis on April 23rd at Palolo field. Game times are 4 & 6 PM.
