Swords Fall to UCSD

La Jolla, CA - The Chaminade University volleyball team dropped their first match of the 2004-05 season tonight against #2 ranked UC San Diego 30-23, 30-18 and 30-20.  The Swords fall to 2-1 on the season while UCSD remains unbeaten at 6-0. 

UCSD out-hit Chaminade .364 to .106 and also served up 10 aces on the night.

The Swords were led by Kahala Kabalis with nine kills, while Valasi Sepulona and Patti Hardimon added seven kills each. Kalae Araujo added 10 digs.

The Swords face Seattle University and Cal State-Los Angeles tomorrow in the opening round of the Cal Poly Pomona tournament.
