Chaminade Sweeps WNMU

Honolulu, HI - The Chaminade University women's volleyball team handed Western New Mexico University their first conference loss tonight, sweeping the Mustangs 3-0 at McCabe Gymnasium (30-23, 31-29, 30-20). Chaminade improves to 8-3 on the season, 3-1 in PacWest play while the Mustangs fall to 14-5, 2-1.

Valasi Sepulona had a match high 18 kills on 39 attacks for a .423 hitting percentage. She also recorded 4 digs and 3 assists. Patti Hardimon added 14 kills and Kahala Kabalis knocked down 12 kills in the sweep. Nikolina Rastovac tallied 43 assists and Kalae Araujo collected 18 digs.

Liz Narcon and Suzanne Bruchhauser led the Mustangs with 15 and 11 kills respectively.

The Swords host Montana State Billings Friday October 1st at 7:30 PM.
