Honolulu, HI - The Chaminade University men's basketball team beat Grand Canyon University on senior night, 78-71, to wrap up the 2004-05 season with a 16-11 overall record.
Zack Whiting led four Swords in double figures with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Seniors Dustin Mittelsteadt and Scott Metcalf scored 15 & 11 points respectively and junior Chris Reaves added 10 points.
Noe Alonzo led the Antelopes with 16 points.
Nick Frey, Scott Metcalf and Dustin Mittelsteadt ended their collegiate careers on a positive note. The Silverswords went undefeated at McCabe Gymnasium this season (14-0).
The Chaminade athletic department would like to thank these three student-athletes for their hard work on the basketball court and in the classroom.
