Laie, HI- In the second game in as many days, Chaminade lost to the Seasiders of BYU-Hawaii 3-0.
Coming off a difficult loss the day before, the Lady Swords responded with a solid effort against the first place Seasiders.
The Lady Swords tightened up on the defensive end and held the Seasiders scoreless through twenty minutes of action. A Heidi Bushman goal off a feed from Katie Beeton for a 1-0 lead. Jill Haar added a goal in the 36th minute off an assist from Brooke Petersen to bring the score to 2-0 at the half.
The Seasiders added a goal from Kaitlin Johnson in the second half for the final tally. Heidi Bushman added the assist. The Seasiders outshot CUH 26-0 for the game.
Michelle Halloran made five saves for the Lady Swords in the loss.
Chaminade falls to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play. The Seasiders improve to 5-1 and 2-0 in the PacWest.
The Swords are off to Hilo to face the Vulcans of UH-Hilo this Thursday, October 5th as part of a doubleheader. The women are set to start at 5PM with the men to follow.
