Belmont, CA- Chaminade men's soccer fought a long, hard match to a 0-0 tie with only eighteen minutes left in regulation against Notre Dame de Namur. Darren Smith was stout in goal for CUH, making 5 big saves over the course of the ninety minute affair.
The game stayed scoreless until the 72nd minute when Edgar Rivera connected on a shot from 25 yards out. Anton Del Rosario then scored on a penalty kick and then Emmanuel Vasquez took a pass from Anton Del Rosario for the final tally. Rosario finished the game with a goal and two assists, while Marc Contee had the lone shot for the Silverswords.
Chaminade falls to 0-9 with the loss, while Notre Dame de Namur improves to 8-4-2 with the win. The Silverswords are back on the road again Friday at 11:00 am against UC-Santa Cruz.
