Swords Defeat NDNU In Three Games

Belmont, CA- In the second match in as many days, Chaminade finished off the Argos of Notre Dame de Namur in three games 30-26, 30-23, and 30-22 to complete the season sweep.

In two days of competition the Lady Swords did not lose a game to the Argos, and on Saturday night, Evelyn Bluthenthal led the way with 17 kills in the victory. Sophomore outside hitter Trina Kauliakamoa was also strong, hitting .407 on her 13 kills.

Tamara Kauliakamoa added 43 assists and 11 digs, while Marijana Stanic added 15 digs in the win. The Swords out-hit, out-dug and out-blocked NDNU on the evening.

The win makes it four in a row for Chaminade and 11 of its last 12 matches. CUH improves to 16-4 and 11-2 in the Pac West. Notre Dame de Namur falls to 10-21 overall.

Chaminade heads home for two matches this week, facing Dixie State College of Utah on Wednesday and Hawaii Pacific on Saturday, both at McCabe Gym. Wednesday's match is scheduled for 7:30 PM, while Saturday's home finale will be at 5:00 PM.
