Honolulu, HI- In a conference match-up featuring conference rivals, HPU got the best of the Swords 8-1 in an afternoon affair.
Chaminade was without its starting goalkeeper, and former Hawaii Player of the Year, Darren Smith, and started Kenny Hong in goal.
Hawaii Pacific scored four goals in both halves with Christian Clemente leading the way with two goals and two assists on the match.
The Swords got their first goal of the season off the foot of Hale Metzger late in the second half. Marc Contee led the way with three shots for CUH. Kenny Hong made 16 saves in the loss.
Chaminade falls to 0-13 overall and 0-7 in conference play, while HPU improves to 6-5-2 overall and 2-3-2 in conference. Chaminade is back in action tomorrow with a 1PM match against Notre Dame de Namur.
