Honolulu, HI- In a preview of what will be a conference match starting next year, Chaminade defeated the Rebels of Dixie State in four games 30-16, 26-30, 30-17, and 30-27.
Chaminade had four players in double figure kills, hitting .290 as a team on the match. Vanja Radanovic led CUH with 19 kills and a .441 hitting percentage, while Trina Kauliakamoa added 17 kills to go along with 11 digs in the win. Tamara Kauliakamoa also had a stellar night doing a little bit of everything with 56 assists, 10 kills, 7 service aces and 7 digs for the Lady Swords.
Chaminade looked to be cruising early hitting .500 in the first game in a 30-16 win. The Rebels hung tough however, and won game two 30-26. Tera Fish helped to lead Dixie State with 32 assists and 10 kills (.455 hitting percentage). Cidney Judkins had 14 kills in defeat for the Rebels.
CUH out dug the Rebels 55-41 and out hit Dixie State .290 to .245.
The win moves Chaminade to 17-4 on the year, while Dixie State falls to 12-13 overall. The Lady Swords are back in action for Senior Night against Hawaii Pacific on Saturday evening at 5PM in McCabe Gym.
