Honolulu, HI- Coming off the EA Sports Maui Invitational, Chaminade finally got a chance to come home, defeating a competitive and skilled Carleton College team 90-67.
Leading the way for Chaminade University was Zack Whiting with 20 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds. Junior center Marko Kolaric added 14 points and 14 rebounds while shooting 75% from the floor. Mike Green added 14 points on 4-6 shooting from three and Stewart Kussler added 16 points to go along with 5 rebounds. Hayden Heiber rounded five Swords in double figures scoring 12 points in the win.
Chaminade led throughout the evening, leading by 10 at the half and stretching the lead throughout the second half. The Swords out rebounded Carleton 42-23 and had 24 assists to the Knights 13. CUH shot a scorching hot 58% from the floor while holding Carleton to 40%.
Carleton was led by Zach Johnson with 14 points on the night. Jake Phillips and Tommy Drake added 11 each.
Chaminade improves to 1-3 on the year, while Carleton falls to 1-3. The Swords are back at home in McCabe Gym on Friday at 7:30 PM vs. St. Martin's.
