Laie, HI- In a match pitting the top two teams in the PacWest conference against each other, Chaminade fell to BYU-Hawaii in four games 28-30, 23-30, 30-24 and 23-30.
Chaminade was tough throughout, narrowly losing game one and was nip and tuck with the Seasiders in every game. Trina Kauliakamoa led CUH with a double-double of 16 kills and 10 digs. Tamara Kauliakamoa added 41 assists and 17 digs in defeat. Fellow Silversword, freshman Vanja Radanovic, gave Chaminade fans plenty to look forward to, with a near triple double just missing with 9 kills, 9 blocks and 9 digs in an impressive performance.
Noelle Filimoeatu led BYU-Hawaii with 24 kills and 22 digs in the win. Michelle Peters added 18 kills and 15 digs to help BYU-Hawaii go to 20-0 on the year.
Chaminade was outhit .187 to .162 and out dug 95-87. The Lady Swords out dug BYU-H 18-15 on the night.
The loss moves the Lady Swords to 17-6 overall and 11-4 in the Pac West.
