Hilo, HI- After numerous delays and a change of venue, Chaminade was defeated by the Vulcans of Hilo 9-2 in the only game of a scheduled doubleheader.
Chaminade, coming off two tough losses to Azusa Pacific, were in a tie game at one-one in the second when the Vulcans put four runs up to take a 5-1 lead. Chaminade rallied for a run in the fourth and received two hits a piece from Carolyn Fisher and Anina Quaranto.
Natalie Alcala took the loss for the Silverswords, while Sarah Weisskopf got the win for UH-Hilo. The game was called due to rain with CUH batting and a runner on first in the seventh.
With the loss Chaminade falls to 10-25 and UH-Hilo improves to 27-15 on the year.
