Honolulu, HI- In a match pitting conference foes against each other, the Lady Swords won the battle in three games 30-27, 30-28 and 30-27.
The Swords struggled at times, but out hit the Argos in every game and out dug NDNU 35-26 for the match. CUH had three players with double digit kills, with Trina Kauliakamoa leading the way with 18 kills on the night. Evelyn Bluthenthal and Brittnee Fonnesbeck each added 11 kills a piece in the victory.
Senior Tamara Kauliakamoa led the offense with a team high 46 assists, while Annie Lanoza added 10 digs in the sweep.
Jennifer McMurty had 18 assists to lead Notre Dame de Namur, while teammate Marissa Miller had 9 kills in the loss.
Chaminade improves to 8-3, 3-1 in the PacWest, while NDNU drops to 7-10 overall. Next up for the Lady Swords are the `Lopes of Grand Canyon University on Friday, September 22, 2006 at McCabe Gym. First serve is set for 7:30 PM.
