CUH Women's Soccer Falls In Inaugural Match

Honolulu, HI- In a game that was tight for 45 minutes, the Seasiders of BYU-Hawaii pulled away from Chaminade in the second half for a 4-0 victory.

The Swords kept the game close early and were down 1-0 at the break. Leading the charge offensively for CUH was Carla Byers, who had 3 shots on goal for the match. Michelle Halloran was steady in goal and had 12 saves for the Lady Swords.

Chaminade was out shot 24-8 on the day, but had several opportunities that nearly resulted in goals. BYU-Hawaii was led by Heidi Bushman who tallied two goals on the day, while Emily Mearns and Jill Haar each added one.

The loss brings Chaminade to 0-1 on the year, while the Seasiders improve to 3-1. The Lady Swords get back on the field tomorrow at Hawaii Pacific. Game time is set for 2PM at Atherton field.
