Honolulu, HI- The Lady Swords fell to HPU at Atherton field by a score of 5-0, playing their second game in as many days. After staying tight with BYU-Hawaii for a half the day before, Chaminade played competitive soccer with Hawaii Pacific for the first half on Saturday going 0-0 until the 28th minute. The scoreless game lasted until the Silverswords fell behind on goals by HPU's Lauren Dingam in the 28th minute and then by Jamie Hirai before the break as HPU led 2-0 at the half.
HPU kept the pressure on in the second half adding 3 goals, while CUH mustered 3 shots that tested Hawaii Pacific goalie Melissa Naeole. Lauren Dingam of HPU added another goal in the second half and an assist in the SeaWarriors win.
The Lady Swords were led by Michelle Halloran in goal who made 19 saves in her second career start. The win was HPU's first of the yea and they improve to 1-2 overall. Chaminade falls to 0-2 on the year.
Next up for CUH women is BYU-Hawaii next Friday, September 29th at St. Louis field at 10:00 AM. This is part of a doubleheader as the CUH men face BYU-Hawaii at 12:00 PM at the same location.
