Laie, HI-The last time these two teams met, it took nearly three hours and ended in darkness. There wasn't quite the drama this time as the Seasiders got the scoring started early with Michael Akinaka scoring in the ninth minute.
The game went to the break 1-0 BYU-Hawaii.
The Seasiders put another goal on the board in the 57th minute off the foot of Shawn Blymiller and scored again in the 71st minute to secure the 3-0 victory.
Darren Smith had 12 saves in the loss. Shawn Blymiller led the way for the side from Laie with a goal and an assist.
BYU-Hawaii out shot Chaminade 26-0.
With the loss, the Swords fall to 2-12-1. The Seasiders improve to 7-8 on the year. Chaminade heads back to the pitch on Oct 23rd at 12 noon on St. Louis Field. The opponent is UH-Hilo.
