Honolulu, HI- Chaminade gave UH-Hilo all it could handle in regulation; unfortunately it wasn't enough as the Vulcans defeated the Silverswords in overtime 3-2.
The Swords trailed 2-1 at the half. Timon Berry scored for the Swords and was assisted by Jason Gomez. The Swords opened up strong in the second half and scored their second goal by Jason Gomez, Marvin Mendoza was credited with the assist. At the end of regulation the score was 2-2. With just seventeen seconds to remaining in the first overtime period Carlos Lopez passed to fellow teammate Dustin Daley. Daley finished off the pass with the game ending goal for the Vulcans.
Jason Gomez led the Swords with one assist and one goal.

The loss moves the Silverswords to 2-13-1 with the loss, while UH-Hilo moves to
7-9 overall.
Chaminade looks to get back on track this week as they face Hawaii Pacific University on Thursday afternoon. Kickoff is at 12:00PM HT at St. Louis Field.
