Honolulu, HI- In their last meeting of the year the Swords fell to BYU-Hawaii 47-74. Poor shooting by CUH, 30% from the field and 50% from the line, hamstrung the Swords all evening.
The last of four meetings in their inaugural season was not kind to the Silverswords of Chaminade University. Both teams came out flat and shot poorly in the first half. The Seasiders took a 7 point edge into the locker at half time.
The second half did not prove to be any better for the Swords as their poor shooting continued. BYU's did not however and the Seasiders finished off the Silverswords by a score of 47-74.
CUH was led by Katherine Carlisle with 15 points. Cummins and Fonnesbeck added 14 and 11 points respectively.
Latoya Wily led the Seasiders with 24 points and 17 rebounds.
Chaminade falls to 3-15 on the year, while BYU-Hawaii moves to 10-10 overall.
The Swords are back in action February 14th to take on Grand Canyon University 5:30PM HT, McCabe gym.
