Chaminade Women's Volleyball Bounces Back Big Time

Honolulu, HI- The Lady Swords came out ready to go tonight and took care of the SeaWolves of Sonoma State in four games 30-24, 22-30, 30-24, 30-25 to improve to 5-1 on the year.

Chaminade was led by junior Trina Kauliakamoa who had 20 kills and 17 digs on the evening. Freshman Samantha Miller also had a double-double, going for 13 kills and 14 digs. Setter Tanya Alvino added 50 assists and Evelyn Bluthenthal was her usual self, with 17 kills and a scorching hot .500 attack percentage.

The SeaWolves were led by Kristy Sather with 14 kills and Lindsay Brown added 40 assists in defeat.

Chaminade outdug, outblocked and outhit Sonoma State on the evening. The third and fourth games were especially impressive as Chaminade has team attack percentages of .400 and .405 respectively in those games.

Sonoma State falls to 2-4 with the loss. The Lady Swords are back at it tomorrow afternoon in McCabe Gym to face Central Washington. First serve is set for 2:00 PM. CUH will play again at 7:30 PM tomorrow night, again in McCabe. The opponent at 7:30 pm in Northwest Nazarene.
