CUH Men's Basketball Defeats Grand Canyon 70-66, 5-0 in Pac West Play

Honolulu, HI- The Pac West battles continue. The Swords faced a very good GCU team tonight and after a furious Grand Canyon threat in the final minutes, the Swords held on for a 70-66 win.

Chaminade shot 49% on the night and held the `Lopes to 41% from the floor. Chaminade also shot 46% from three, with five different players connecting from behind the arc.

Five Swords scored in double figures (Hayden Heiber 12, Mike Green 11, Rodrick Johnson 10, Stewart Kussler 13 and LaMarr Hunt with 15)

CUH was up to with 5.3 seconds left when Mike Green calmly hit two free throws to account for the final margin.

Andray Glenn led the way for Grand Canyon with 14 points and 5 rebounds.

Chaminade moves to 10-4, 5-0 with the win, Grand Canyon moves to 8-5, 3-3 with the loss.

The Swords are back in action at home on January 18 against NDNU. Game time is set for 7:30 PM in McCabe Gym.
