Honolulu, HI- Chaminade made senior night a night to remember with a 105-79 win over UH-Hilo.
Five Swords scored in double figures, led by a career high 25 points from senior guard, James Francisco. The Swords shot 15-31 from three and had 33 assists on 39 baskets. CUH shot 62% from the floor.
Chaminade got up early, leading 45-32 at the break, the last three points coming on a Francisco three right before the half expired.
Rodrick Johnson led the Swords on the glass, getting 9 rebounds. Stewart Kussler added 19 points and 7 rebounds, while Hayden Heiber added 13 points and 9 assists.
The Vulcans won the battle of the glass, 32-30.
Chaminade moves to 18-6, 13-2 with the win, UH-Hilo moves to 12-11, 7-8 with the loss. The eighteen win for Chaminade marks the most wins in school history for the program in the regular season (NCAA). It ties the mark set by the 2005-06 Coach Mahar led team who finished 18-8 in regular season play.
The Swords are back in action on Feb 23rd against second place BYU-Hawaii. Game time is set for 7:30 PM in Laie, HI (Cannon Center).
