St. George, UT- Tough shooting and a 10-0 run to start the game didn't bode well for the Silverswords, as Chaminade fell to the Rebels of DSU 72-67.
Senior night was kind to the Rebels, as Dixie shot 6-10 from behind the arc, while Chaminade managed just 4-20 on the night from three.
The Swords were out-rebounded 38-35. CUH also committed 23 fouls to Dixie State's 14.
Marko Kolaric had another double-double for the Swords, scoring 10 points and adding 14 rebounds on the night. Stewart Kussler added 14 points and 4 rebounds, while Hayden Heiber added 11 points, 9 assists, and 4 steals.
Chaminade shot 40% from the floor and 56% from the charity stripe (9-16), DSU shot 48% from the floor on the evening, and 73% from the line, shooting nearly twice as many free throws (22-30).
Kasey Winters led the way for Dixie State, scoring 16 points and adding 10 rebounds in the win.
Chaminade falls to 19-7, 14-3 in the Pac West with the loss, DSU improves to 13-14, 10-8 with the win.
The Swords head to Belmont, California to face NDNU on Saturday night. Game time is set for 7:30 PM PT.
