Hilo, HI- Freshman Garret Prinslow led the way for the Swords in the 2008 UH-Hilo Invitational. Prinslow finished the 6k event with a time of 27:56. Senior Tyler Pickle finished in 16th with a time of 28:19. Overall, the Sword Men finished in 4th place in the team standings. Winning the race for Hawaii Pacific was Andreas Schwab with a time of 19:30. HPU also won the team title with 18 team points.
On the women's side, CUH was led by Rachel Martin (20th) with a time of 28:32 in the women's 6k. The Chaminade women finished in 4th place. Amanda Whitford of BYU-Hawaii won the event with a time of 22:51, while BYU-Hawaii won the event on the women's side as well, with 34 team points.
The Swords are back in action next Saturday at the UH Big Wave Invitational in Kaneohe, HI. Race time is set for 7:30 AM HT.
