Phoenix, AZ- The Swords bounced back today in dominating fashion, taking care of the Red Storm of Dixie State 8-1 in the third of five matches in the Grand Canyon Tournament.
All six singles matches went Chaminade's way, with the top five singles matches going to CUH in straight sets. Coach Mosley was proud of the effort today. “We responded well against Dixie. Our team played to their ability. It was nice to see them turn it around.”
The #1 doubles, Stacy Chaussoy and Natalie Phanphengdy, (8:5) and #2 doubles, Silkie Kawahakui and Kiana Iwado (8:2), won as well for the Swords. The #3 doubles team was the lone defeat of the match.
With the win, CUH moves to 2-2. Dixie State moves to 0-1. The Swords are back in action tomorrow to face Western New Mexico at 12:30 PM MT in Phoenix, AZ.
