Honolulu, HI- The Swords fell to Upper Iowa 7-1 this morning at St. Louis Field.
The Pioneers got on the board in the 20th minute and led 1-0 at halftime. Upper Iowa scored four goals to go up 5-0 before the Swords responded with a goal from Marissa Faye in the 80th minute to make it 5-1.
Shaina Marnell and Valeria Ptasinki both scored two goals for the Pioneers.
Chaminade managed 8 shots to Upper Iowa's 26.
Marissa Minor had 9 saves in defeat.
With the loss, the Lady Swords move to 0-1. Upper Iowa moves to 1-2 on the year. Chaminade is back in action tomorrow at 2PM against Westminster (UT). The game will be played on St. Louis Field.
