Honolulu, HI – The Lady Swords opened the 2010-11 Basketball season against the University of Hawai'i women's basketball team in an exhibition game tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center. In front of a booming crowd of 1,710 fans the Silverswords fell by score of 74 to 34.

The Lady Swords scored the first 5 points of the game and as a team fought hard throughout the entire 40 minutes of play.
Kristen Canencia led the team with 9 points;
Jordan Ahakuelo added 8 points and
Jamie Higa rounded the team with 6 points of her own and also collected 6 boards for CUH.
UH Manoa was led by Kamilah Jackson who scored 15 and 9 rebounds.
CUH lost the rebounding battle 43 to 17.
The Lady Swords open their 2010-11 basketball season at home on November 14th against Adams State College, tipoff is set for 12:00PM at McCabe Gym. Vince Lombardi once said, “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.”
