Honolulu, HI- The Swords came out and faced a physical GCU team tonight and fell by a final score of 78-58.
 
Chaminade struggled from behind the arc all night, shooting 1-10, while Grand Canyon was red-hot from three, going 10-23 (44%).  Matt Cousins kept the Swords in the game early, going for 12 points and 4 rebounds in the first 20 minutes.  Cousins finished the game with 27 points and 6 rebounds.  
 
Cousins was the lone Silversword in double figures.  GCU shot 47% on the night while Chaminade shot 36%.  
 
Wesolowski led Grand Canyon with 16 points and 6 rebounds.  Four 'Lopes scored in double figures.    
 
The Swords won the rebounding battle 31-28, but had 15 turnovers on the game.  
   
Chaminade falls to 7-13 on the year, 4-7 in the Pac West. Grand Canyon moves to 11-16, 5-6 in the Pac West. The Swords are back in action vs. Hawaii Pacific on February 25th.  It is the final home contest of the season.  Game time is set for 7:30 PM HT at McCabe Gym.
