(March 15, 2010) - Pitcher of the Week (March 8-14)...Amber Waracka - Hawai'i Hilo (So., 5-9, P, R/R, Kahuluu, HI/Kamehameha-Kapalama)...captured the award for the second straight week after going 5-0 in five appearances and four starts...tossed four complete-game shutouts...allowed no runs in 28.2 innings of work (0.00 ERA)...opponents mustered just 11 hits and a .118 batting average while striking out 31 times...Vulcans posted an 8-0 record for the week.

Nicole Alconcel - Hawai'i Hilo (So., 5-6, IN, R/R, Wailuku, HI/H.P. Baldwin)...batted .476 in seven starts during 8-0 week for UHH...was 10 for 21 with six runs, six RBI, a double and a homer...3 for 3 in stolen base attempts...posted a .667 slugging mark and a .522 on-base rate...walked twice.
Sierrah Garcia - Academy of Art (So., 5-7, P, L/R, Los Banos, CA/Los Banos)...posted 2-0 mark during a 2-2 week for the Urban Knights...had a 2.26 ERA in four appearances and two starts...tossed two complete games...struck out 13 batters in 21.2 innings of action...also hit .500 in four starts, going 5 for 10 with a run and one RBI...walked twice...had a .583 on-base rate and a .500 slugging mark.
Maile Kim - Hawai'i Pacific (So., 5-3, U, R/R, Salinas, CA/Notre Dame)...batted .600 in four-game sweep of BYU-Hawaii...was 6 for 10 with three runs, a double, a triple, two homers and nine RBI...walked three times...posted a phenomenal 1.500 slugging percentage and a .692 on-base mark.
Kelly Korras - Chaminade (Jr., 5-4, P, R/R, Johannesburg, South Africa)...posted a 3-1 mark for the Silverswords in six appearances and five starts...recorded a 1.15 ERA in 30.1 innings of work...struck out 14 while allowing just five earned runs...tossed two complete games in five starts, including a shutout...also shared in two other Silversword shutouts.
Kasy'e Lalau - Chaminade (Jr., 5-11, P, R/R, Stuttgart, Germany/Patch)...saw action in 9 of 12 games for the Silverswords...posted a 4-1 record with three saves during the stretch...had a 2.10 ERA...struck out 12 and allowed just nine earned runs in 30.0 innings of work...combined for three shuouts...tossed two complete games in four starts...opponents hit just .214.
Sherise Musquiz - Hawai'i Pacific (Sr., 6-0, P, R/R, Pico Rivera, CA/El Rancho)...posted a 2-0 mark in four-game series vs. BYU-Hawaii...struck out seven and turned in a 0.00 ERA in two wins...started both contests...earned a complete-game blanking while also sharing another shutout...surrendered eight hits and no runs over nine innings with a .235 opponent batting average.
