Coach Bob Ford enters his third year on the Silversword Tennis staff.  Coach Ford is a retired Naval Officer who has resided in Hawaii for many years.  A former Division I athlete at the U. S. Naval Academy, Coach Ford earned several letters in football and track. 

His passion for tennis traces to his military active duty days, when he competed in military tournaments, including inter-service tennis contests,  and local Open tournaments.  Coach Ford has captained and played on the Honolulu Tennis League Open Division team for the past six years, and serves on the Board of Directors for the U. S. Tennis Association, Hawaii/Pacific Section.
