Taryn Fujioka was 7-for-8 with two RBI in the softball team's non-conference series at Hawai‘i Pacific University on March 16. The junior shortstop was a perfect 4-for-4 with an RBI in the opener then followed it up with a 3-for-4 performance in the nightcap, a 2-1 Silverswords’ win. Not only did Fujioka drive in the go-ahead run in the seventh, she also threw out the potential tying run from scoring in the bottom of the seventh, part of the team’s game-ending double play.
