Maria Steinke logged a time of 20:29.5 for a ninth-place overall finish in the 5-kilomter Hawai'i Big Wave Invitational race but was the first non-Division I runner to cross. The University of Hawai‘i Manoa and University of the Pacific runners placed the first eight finishers of the race.
