Brandon Yasue, a junior goalkeeper, made his first career start in the men’s soccer team’s season opener Saturday against Hawai‘i Pacific University after spending the previous two years as a reserve. He made eight saves and kept the Sharks out of the net until HPU got the golden goal on a header in the 106th minute.
