Silver City, NM - Western New Mexico swept Chaminade for the second night in a row (30-23, 30-19, 30-23) dropping the Swords to 10-12 on the season with one game remaining.
The Mustangs posted their eighth-straight win with a dominating defensive performance. Chaminade had 35 kills and 38 errors for a -.021 team hitting percentage. WNMU out-blocked the Silverswords 15 to 2 on the match.
Kahala Kabalis, the conference's leader in kills, knocked down a match-high 11, but also had 12 errors for a -.024 hitting percentage. Patti Hardimon had eight kills and was one of just three Swords with a positive hitting percentage. Kabalis also had a match-high 15 digs.
The season finale for the Swords is at Hawaii-Hilo on November 15th. Game time is 7:15 PM.
