SWORDS DROP HOME OPENER

Dec. 16, 2003

Honolulu, HI - After a 19 day layoff the Silverswords celebrated their return to the court by running out to a 19 point first half lead. Unfortunately, that cushion wasn't enough as the University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves stormed back behind Peter Bullock's 23 second half points to wreck the Swords' party. Bullock finished the game with a 28 points and 8 rebounds.

"We got worked over in the second half by a very good post player and a very good team," CU head coach Aaron Griess said. "We tried different things to stop him but because they have such good perimeter shooters, it's tough to get help down to him."

Bullock also went 12-17 from the foul line in addition to 8-14 from the field in his 29 minutes of play.

Sam Henning and Roy Stigall II led CU in the scoring column with 15 points apiece. Henning grabbed a team-high 7 rebounds in defeat.
