Honolulu, HI - The Chaminade University men's basketball team got back on track tonight with a convincing win over Chapman University of California. The win ends a six game losing streak for the Swords who improve to 2-6 on the season.
After a slow start, the Swords pounced on the Panthers in the second half en route to the 18-point victory. Nick Frey led Chaminade with 18-points and 13 rebounds. Roy Stigall and Bryon Sykes chipped in 16 and 12 points respectively while Kashif Reyes added 11 points on 3 of 6 shooting from behind the arc.
The Swords will look to build momentum tomorrow when they face Doane College in a New Year's Eve match-up at McCabe Gym. Game time is set for 3:00 PM. This will be CU's final tune up before they begin league play versus pre-season PacWest favorite Hawaii-Hilo on January 8th at McCabe Gym.
