Swords Drop Yellowjackets in Four

Honolulu, HI - Chaminade improved to 9-3 overall, 4-1 in PacWest play by dropping Montana State-Billings in four games on Friday night. The Yellowjackets won the first game but the Swords rallied back and won three straight to close the match 32-34, 30-23, 30-22, 30-19.

Patti Hardimon led a solid hitting night for the Silverswords, who hit .228 as a team to the Yellowjackets' .106. Hardimon knocked down 19 kills on 34 attempts with just four errors for a .441 hitting percentage. Four players reached double-digit kills for Chaminade. Marijana Stanic finished with 15, Kahala Kabalis added 14, and Valasi Sepulona had 13.

The Yellowjackets struggled on the attack for most of the evening. Jessica Bratton (So., OH, Casper, WY) and Andrea Donahue (Sr., MB, Whitefish, MT) were the most productive for MSU-Billings at the net. Bratton had 17 kills on a .208 hitting percentage. Donahue added 10 kills and three blocks.

The Swords take to the road this week, facing Hawaii Pacific on Tuesday before heading to Hawaii Hilo for back-to-back games on October 8th & 9th.
