LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) - Jared Jensen scored 16 points to lead Brigham Young to a 77-56 victory over Chaminade on Wednesday in the seventh-place game of the Maui Invitational.
Keena Young and Mike Hall each had 14 points and six rebounds for the Cougars (1-2), who lost to No. 11 North Carolina and Stanford in the first two rounds of the eight-team tournament sponsored by EA Sports.
Hall hit two 3-pointers and scored BYU's first eight points of the second half as the Cougars took a 41-25 lead with 17:56 left.
Dylan McCune had 11 points for Chaminade (1-3), which lost to ranked teams in its first two games - No. 15 Texas and No. 12 Louisville.
The Silverswords, the Division II hosts of the tournament, dropped to 4-57 all-time in the event. Their only win since 1993 was in last year's first round over Villanova.
BYU shot 49 percent from the field (31-for-63), improving on the 33 percent it shot in the first two games.
Chris Reaves, a junior college transfer who had 33 points in the opener and 19 in the second round, had just five points on 2-for-7 shooting against BYU.
