Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii- In the second to last game in what proved to be an incredible tournament, Chaminade fell to the Jayhawks of Kansas by a score of 102-54 in front of a soldout crowd at the Lahaina Civic Center.
Dylan McCune led the Charge for Chaminade with 17 points and 4 rebounds, while shooting 5-9 from the arc. Chris Reaves added 10 points, while both Marko Kolaric and Chris Powell added 6 rebounds to the cause. Chaminade was within reach early and were down 17 at the break. A run to start the second half by the Jayhawks helped to close the Silverswords out.
Kansas was led by C.J. Giles who had 21 points and 9 rebounds while shooting 10-12 from the floor.
Chaminade returns to action, as well as Division II, as the Swords head to the mainland to face Cal-State Chico, Central Washington and Western Oregon next week.
