Lady Swords Fall in Three Games

Laie, HI- In the first of two matches over the course of two days, BYU-Hawaii defeated Chaminade in three straight games.

All three games were highly competitive early on, but BYU-Hawaii took all three, 30-18, 30-20, 30-27. Trina Kauliakamoa and Marijana Stanic led the Swords with 12 kills each. Defensively, Ashley Elliazar chipped in 12 digs in the losing effort.

BYU-Hawaii was effective hitting the ball with a .291 team hitting percentage. The attack was led by Yu Chuan Weng with 20 kills. Yu leads the nation in kills per game for the 2005-06 season. BYU-Hawaii improves to 11-0 with the win and CUH falls to 8-4. The records will quickly change again, as the two teams tangle again tonight in Laie at 7:30 PM
