Chaminade Men's Soccer Defeated By Grand Canyon

Phoenix, AZ- In the first ever conference meeting between PacWest conference foes, Chaminade fell to Grand Canyon University by a score of 9-0.

The `Lopes got the scoring started with two goals off the foot of David Hague within a minute of each other in the 15th minute of the match. Grand Canyon kept it going with two more goals in the first half. Another from Hague and one from Ashkan Awtarolyai off a feed from Bosko Yovicevic. The Antelopes led 4-0 at the break.

Chaminade was led by keeper Darren Smith who had 10 saves in the loss. Andrew Williams got the lone shot for CUH.

Chaminade falls to 0-11 with the loss, 0-6 in conference play. Grand Canyon improves to 9-6 overall, 5-1 in conference play.
