Phoenix, AZ- In the first ever conference meeting between PacWest conference foes, Chaminade fell to Grand Canyon University by a score of 4-0.
The `Lopes got the scoring started with a score by Emilee Ashby. It was a tough break for the Lady Swords as CUH keeper, Michelle Halloran made the save, but the ball crossed the plain of the goal for a score.
Grand Canyon took the 1-0 lead to the break. Vanessa Young helped to seal the victory for GCU, scoring in the 54th and 65th minute for the Antelopes, stretching the lead to 3-0.
Abigail Jenkins would add a late goal to make the final score, 4-0.
Michelle Halloran stopped 11 shots for the Silverswords. With the loss, Chaminade fell to 0-7-1 overall, 0-5-1 in conference play. Grand Canyon improves to 3-11-1, 3-2-1 in conference play.
