Honolulu, HI- On Friday morning at St. Louis field, Chaminade fell to the `Lopes of Grand Canyon University by a score of 7-0.
Chaminade fell down early with a score from GCU's O-J Lym off a crisp feed over the top of the defense from Rachel Van Buskirk, one of Van Buskirk's two assists on the day.
Grand Canyon scored three more goals in the half, the final one a penalty kick by Ruth Nsubuga, her first of two goals on the match. The penalty kick made it 4-0 going into the break.
Michelle Halloran led Chaminade with 11 saves. Jen Munger led GCU with 2 saves in the win.
With the loss, Chaminade falls to 0-11-1 and 0-8-1 in the PacWest. Grand Canyon improves to 5-13-1 overall. Chaminade is back in action tomorrow, October 27th at 2 PM against Hawaii Pacific at St. Louis field.
