Honolulu, HI- In the Swords final game before the holiday, point guard Zack Whiting was in the spirit of giving, dishing out 15 assists and every Chaminade player scored in tonight's 91-63 win over the Dutch of Central College.
Darrell Birton shook off a shooting slump to knock down five threes for 15 points, while Mike Green added 4 threes for the hot-shooting Silverswords. Overall, CUH shot 14-25 from three good for 56% and 56% from the field overall.
Chaminade had five players in double figures as Dan Wendt added 13 points on 5-5 shooting. Stewart Kussler and James Francisco each had 10 points in the win.
Central was led by 6'10 senior center Clint Driftmier, who had 16 points in defeat.
The Swords improve to 6-4 on the year, while Central falls to 4-5.
Chaminade is home again on December 30th against the University of Indianapolis in McCabe Gym. Tip is set for 2:00 PM.
