Honolulu, HI- Playing HPU on senior night for the second time in five days, the Swords took care of the Sea Warriors 99-89.
Chaminade started the game off hot from the floor, shooting 71% in the first half, and 60% from behind the arc. HPU stayed in the game with great effort, outrebounding CUH 21-10 in the opening half.
All-American candidate Chris Reaves followed his 39 point performance last Saturday with 37 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals on Wednesday night. CUH floor general Zack Whiting added 20 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds and only 1 turnover in the win. Chris Powell was big inside with 14 points to go along with 7 rebounds, while Chris Nelson added 13 points and 4 rebounds.
CUH was hot throughout, shooting 59% for the game and 50% from the arc. Hawaii Pacific was led by Audrius Peciukas with 25 points and 12 rebounds.
Chaminade finishes the regular season 18-8, 9-3 in the Pac West Conference and clinched the Championship last Saturday. Hawaii Pacific falls to 8-18 on the year, 3-8 in the PacWest.
